Four arrested in attempted armed robbery of Augusta home

Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies arrested four people in connection to an attempted armed robbery Wednesday at a home in the 1000 block of Woodsedge Drive.

The resident told police a man accompanied by three women attempted to rob him at his home using an unknown type of firearm shortly before 7:22 p.m., according to a new release from Sgt. James Kelly.

The suspects then left the area in a vehicle heading toward Washington Road. Officers found the vehicle and took all four suspects into custody.

Investigators arrested Calvin Donell Cook, 17, Perkenia Glorice Cochran, 29, Chyna Mechelle Freeman, 17, and Tianna Christine Freeman, 19, and charged all four with criminal attempt armed robbery and criminal attempt burglary, according to the release.

Does it take four people to rob someone?I guess the gun was for protectiion in case the victim dared to take a stand. Even a group of wild dogs or jackals or wolves find strength in numbers. What a bunch of cowards.
