A 27-year-old mother has been charged after a suspected drunken driving crash injured her and her two children in September.

According to authorities, Chasity Weston was driving in the 4800 block of Mike Padgett Highway on Sept. 11 when she lost control of her convertible Mustang and rolled the vehicle, which then caught fire.

Her two children, ages 4 and 5, were thrown from the vehicle.

Weston was booked into the Richmond County Jail Wednesday morning on charges of serious injury by vehicle, failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence, two counts of endangering a child while driving under the influence, two counts of no child safety restraint and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a limited permit.
