Thieves stole seven laptop computers from a Hephzibah business early Saturday, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report.

Officer’s responded at 5:30 a.m. to a burglar alarm from Computer Solutions, 3558 Windsor Spring Road.

The report said the front window to the business had been shattered and there was electronic equipment strewn across the floor. Officers contacted the owner of the store.

The owner told police what the burglars had taken.

The business has security cameras and investigators will be looking at the footage.

Well now that we know we have videos we should have the crooks any day. Down side is we taxpayers will be soaked for the defense attorneys trying to convince a jury that the crooks were forced into a life of crime because they had a rough childhood. This store owner is out thousands of dollars in damages and will be a victim again when and if this comes to court.

If I owned a business, I'd sleep in it and shoot the first s o b who broke in. And the second, third... Maybe thugs would think twice if John Q Citizen started killing them more often in defense of self or property. Our judicial system and all the probation sentences given sure don't deter crime.
