According to ASU Public Safety’s Lt. Joe Webber, a student spotted a man rolling a marijuana cigarette in a vehicle in a campus parking lot off of Arsenal Avenue on Wednesday morning and told an officer.
The officer confronted the man, identified as Julius Ceaser Morris, who admitted that he had marijuana in his possession. Officers also located a loaded .380 Titan handgun in the vehicle.
Morris, who was not a student, told officers he had dropped his girlfriend off for morning classes. The gun was in the vehicle for personal protection, Webber said.
Morris was turned over to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and weapons on school grounds.
