Two brothers were arrested Wednesday in a drug-related shooting that sent a 25-year-old man to the hospital with gunshot wounds, according to Capt. Scott Peebles of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Marion Deangelo Gunter III, of the 2900 block of Gebhart Drive, underwent surgery for his wounds. Police responded about 11:30 a.m. to the shooting in the 3500 block of Highview Court in Augusta.

Patrick Anthony Cincinatus, 21, and Anthony Tony Cincinatus, 36, who live at the home where the shooting took place, were charged with one count each of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Anthony Cincinatus was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both men were taken to the Richmond County Jail on Wednesday. More arrests in the incident are likely, Peebles said.
