An Augusta store was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said.

Around 10:30 p.m., deputies were called to Jack’s Grocery at 4630 Mike Padgett Highway in reference to an armed robbery.

Sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas said the store was held up by a white male and a black male. The white man had a rifle, Silas said.

Deputies are not sure what was taken and are searching for the suspects. Nobody was hurt, Silas said.

The worse the economy gets,

The worse the economy gets, the worse crime will get. The cost of food is up more than 10% in just the last year.

Better arm yourself. I don't see any way for the economy to improve anytime soon.
