A diamond choker necklace and other items were stolen from a home in Hephzibah on Friday night.
Christopher Smokie Wood, of the 2400 block of St. Thomas Trail, called deputies at 11:15 p.m. when he discovered someone had broken into his home, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report.
Wood said a 42-inch plasma TV, laptop computer and Dynex 19-inch TV were also stolen.
All of the top headlines are about burglaries. That time of the year again.
Only a matter of time before one of them catches a bad one.
It is unfair for mr. Wood to have these possessions when so many have so little. This is just more redistribution of the wealth. We need to "level the playing field" so everyone can be equal. Get used to it,the government is going to make sure everyone is equal and have the same assets.
This is near Tobacco d. & Windsor Spring....area needs some patroling cruisers 24/7.
Pay for "specials" protection if you want police in your area. That's how it works in Richmond County.
We have about 200 homes in our neighborhood......we pay through assoc. dues for extra police patrol..I think it is worth it & I'm willing to cough up the extra bucks.
It also pays to give incentives for a policeman to move in ...such as paid assoc. dues & etc.
Most can drive their patrol car to their home at night...that helps too.
Richmond County has given up on stopping crime in some areas. If a neighborhood can't pay for extra private protection from them, good luck. Let's hope that's not an incentive to allow crime in nonpaying neighborhoods.
Anybody that has a diamond choker necklace should be smart enough to not live in that area anyway.
I swear people are stupid! Sorry Mr. Wood. You should be able to have anything that your money will pay for, and live where you want to live. If your desire was to own a diamond choker, that is your perrogative. It is wrong for someone to take what your hard earned money purchased! If others in this feed desire a necklace go get one! Spreading the wealth, really get a grip! LOL!

Why would you hire more policemen for the area, then you wouldn't be able to buy some bling real cheap.
