A 39-year-old Augusta woman believes her vehicle was trashed after an argument over the music selection at a Laney-Walker Boulevard club.

The victim told deputies there was an argument between her and a 37-year-old woman at Mr. J’s, 856 Laney Walker Boulevard, about the music the 37-year-old was attempting to play on the jukebox around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Later that evening the victim discovered someone had dumped a trash can on top her 2005 Chevrolet Impala. She told deputies she believes the woman she had been arguing with caused the damage.

The suspect, however, denied causing the damage, police said. She told deputies she went home with her husband after she was slapped in the face by the victim who didn’t agree with her song choices.

Playing music in Augusta is

Playing music in Augusta is starting to get dangerous.
My guess is one woman was playing "Baby's Got Back" over and over and the other woman had a posterior about a yard wide and took exception.

Once again, a major reason

Once again, a major reason why I don't frequent the ghetto clubs here in this city. Grown folks acting like children.

When did stories like this

When did stories like this become news. My coworker tried to intervene in a domestic dispute between a man and a woman at the country club and was beaten by the man and woman. I'm still waiting to read about that one.

I wonder what this song is

I wonder what this song is that is making people fight? Does it have a subconscious message in the background?

Prolly a Kanye West vs 50 Cent argument. Followers of rival rappers talking trash to each other.

@double standard because the characters in this story are easier to make fun of. I'm sure there are MANY arguments at clubs all over Augusta....but YOU KNOW the AC has to pick the ones that are pro. black.

@Patty-P Do you even go out? Why is this club a "ghetto" club? What makes this different from any other club or bar in Augusta?

iLove yes I do go out but

iLove yes I do go out but never here in Augusta, at least not to the bars or clubs. I call ANY club ghetto if people there fight or commence to acting stupid over stupid things. I said the same thing about the other club a few days ago. I don't know or care whether it's a 'black' or 'white' club. In Atlanta there is a mixture of both and if somebody is out there fighting over the song played on a juke box, it will be labled as GHETTO.

I never go to clubs. People

I never go to clubs. People wanting to relax and have a good time, yet end up hating. Sad.

Though some would argue it

Though some would argue it could have been Abba (as Riverman suggested), or maybe even the BeeGees, it's really not the song at all. It's the alcohol and the juveniles pouring it down, just like always.

Patty-P I'm going to start a petition to get you to stay. We need you more than Atlanta. With you leaving and Willow Bailey now mopping floors, who can we depend on to keep us headed in the right direction?
