A routine traffic stop in North Augusta turned into a K-9 search for a suspect carrying several bags of cocaine Wednesday, North Augusta police said.

An officer pulled over a vehicle on Bradleyville Road near Conifer Drive for a cracked front windshield at 1:46 p.m., according to a North Augusta Public Safety incident report. The suspect, Donald Talbert Hill Jr., 31, got out of his vehicle and walked toward Georgia Avenue. When the officer yelled for him to stop, Hill ran across Georgia Avenue and east along Five Notch Road.

A witness told police setting up a perimeter around the area that he saw Hill throw several plastic bags into a wooded area and run into the woods near Five Notch Road.

Police set out K-9 dogs until Hill, of the 100 block of Liberty Hill Road, was arrested in the woods.

Hill’s charges include trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, resisting arrest and driving under suspension, third offense or more. The search lasted about 30 minutes.

How bout
a. Offering up to 5 million dollars for finding the people our Intel says are supplying these guys?
b. Launching a TV show to show you the faces of these fleeing and evading felons?
c. Working with State Federal and International Authorities to track down the bad guys?
d. ect,
e. ect.
f. etc.
So how much support have we gotten from locals? Other than thanking our network for recovering OVER 10 BILLION in stolen things and returning them back to the victims, and helping to catch more criminals than any non government entity in history, our city won't even send us the video or pictures of the fleeing and evading felons.
There has been NO HELP from anyone other than those in our 25 yr old network.
We are about to take our millions and go somewhere that we are appreciated. We are in our second yr on TV here and in just that time the murder rate here has dropped. Now what has daphne been doing about this? I've poured piles of cash into fighting crime and you guys just don't care. i'm seriously thinking about going back to my island and letting the butchery waiting in the wings to just run it's course

...................all ya'

...................all ya' gotta do is watch the McDonalds drive thru "several" evenings a week; there's a late model caddy that goes through there that the driver "passes" a small package out the window to a "fellow passing by walking". Occasionally, he will park, get out and walk around by the playground, remove it from his sock, and hand it off. BTW, the 'caddy has a Richmond County tag.................never said anything, because I always thought....SURELY, the police can see something this obvious!!!
