Authorities said Kereen Jarmar Barnes and another suspect carjacked a man driving a 2005 GMC Denali on the 2100 block of B Street on June 4.
The victim – who was also beaten in the head with a handgun – was transported to the hospital following the incident.
Barnes has been charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated assault, carjacking, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Authorities are still searching for a second suspect identified as Michael Dykes.
