A Martinez man was given two identical forged checks, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Ku Nac Choi of the 3600 block of Bay Point was advised by his bank that two checks he deposited into his account were counterfeit.
The checks were from Jen and Jerry LLC at 2910 Professional Parkway in Augusta. Both checks were written for $571.17. The first was handed to him by Leroy Vaughn Timpson of the 100 block of Second Avenue, and the second was from Phillip Douglas Henley of the 1700 block of Douglas Street.
When Choi contacted the business, he was told no one by those names are employed by Jen And Jerry LLC.
