An Augusta woman was held at gunpoint early Saturday morning.

Sierra Nicole Hickson of the 200 block of Hale Street told police that when she arrived at a friend’s apartment on the 2100 block of C street around 1 a.m., a white older vehicle pulled up to her with two men inside. She said the driver of the car got out and pointed a black handgun at her and demanded she give him her purse. She said she then threw the purse at him. He then dumped the contents out on the street and when he apparently didn’t see what he wanted, he threw the purse down as well.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s report, she said the man then got back into the vehicle and drove west down C street and then south on Milledge Road.

Hickson described the man as being a black male in his early 20’s wearing a white t-shirt and jeans and had a white t-shirt wrapped around his face.
