The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify Cook from security camera footage. Deputies are searching for him.

According to sheriff’s Capt. Scott Peebles, the suspect entered the branch at 3133 Washington Road about 1:30 p.m. and slipped the teller a note demanding money. The man did not appear to be armed.

He was last seen leaving with an undisclosed amount of money in a white pickup with two logos on each side of the rear glass. Peebles said the robber had covered his license plate.

Anyone with information about Cook is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080 and ask to speak with a violent crimes investigator.

Can we even be sure this was a bank robbery? I bet it was all a misunderstanding. And even if it was a robbery, there are far fewer bank robberies in Augusta than in many other places. Like Detroit, for instance. And he didn't get away with any money. Well, not much anyway.

Also, notice he wasn't armed! That's because there is much less violence in Augusta than in lots of other places!

Did you guys know that Soy Noodle House has expanded? Pretty cool, huh?
