The second suspect in Monday’s armed robbery and carjacking in the Target parking lot on Saturday turned himself into authorities.

Joshua John Perkins, 25, of the 3500 block of Windemere Drive in Hephzibah, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. He is charged with two counts of armed robbery, kidnapping, and the possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.

According to investigators, the victim had a pre-arranged meeting with the suspects in the parking lot of the store on Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway to purchase a cellphone. When the suspects approached, they robbed the victim and took control of his car.

The suspects let the victim out of the car at HH Gregg, but left in the stolen vehicle, police said. The victim was not harmed.

Roy Dexter Berry Jr., 24, was charged Thursday with kidnapping, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and two counts of armed robbery.

Perkins’ bond was set at $7,900. Previously, investigators said they were looking for a third unnamed suspect.

$7900 bond for armed robbery

$7900 bond for armed robbery and kidnapping is WAY too low. He will be out with less than $800 and probably in the news again.
