s-paramedic-----what about

s-paramedic-----what about them....some other legion post or organization can offer free meals to ems or fire. why is it that when someone(or some organization) is chosen to be recognized, other people think it is wrong or politically incorrect that they or someone else isnt also recognized. LE was chosen by these two Posts. if u want to give someone else a free meal then go organize ur own giveaway. geez!

9/11/2001:

9/11/2001: Firefighter/Paramedics killed=343 Police killed=60

If they are saying it is just recognizing law enforcement that's one thing, but when they say it in memory of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, it would seem more appropriate to also honor Fire/EMS in the same way.

I am the canteen manager of

I am the canteen manager of VFW Post 649. I would like everyone to know that our post has also invited our local firemen and EMT's to get a free meal tomorrow, 9/11. I thank the person who put this article in the news, but a few of the details for our post were left out. Please come out tomorrow and support our local firemen, police, and EMT's.

Most generous of you,

Most generous of you, Legionnaires.

Our sheriff's deputies, firemen and EMTs have tough jobs and deserve our support.

TDBEEZ, you are so correct.

TDBEEZ, you are so correct. Firemen always whine and ride the coat tails of LE. FD gets paid overtime. LE in Richmond County do not. FD work a 24 hour shift in a firehouse with a kitchen, beds, living room, tv and computer. They gripe about a restaurant discount they don't get but LE does... Hello, there's no kitchen in a patrol car guys! Anytime LE gets something, FD cries it's not fair; however FD has way more. BUT, in this case, ALL should be recognized and included. And apparently all were, but not all info was published.
