Shots fired in Harrisburg

 Authorities were called to Harrisburg after shots were reportedly fired at a residence Tuesday evening.

According to Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas, a resident in the 1800 block of Jenkins Street was outside around 7:20 p.m. when he heard the shots. He ran inside and later discovered the shots had penetrated his home.

Officers also discovered bullet holesin another home on the block. Witnesses said someone had fled from that home just after shots were fired. No one was there when officers checked the home, Silas said.

Shell casings were also discovered in the alley behind the homes.

No injuries were reported.
