According to Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Calvin Chew, two men, one armed with a revolver, entered the video rental store at 3806 Woodlake Drive around 9:45 p.m., and demanded money from the clerk.
Chew said the clerk froze during the robbery and didn’t hand over any money, even after she was struck in the head by one of the attempted robbers.
They were last seen leaving the store on foot. Authorities are reviewing surveillance video.
The gunman was described as a black male who was wearing a red cap, a white T-shirt with a red T-shirt underneath, black gloves and a white bandana over his face.
His accomplice was described as a black male 5-foot-11 to six-feet tall and was wearing a skull cap, one glove, black shorts and a blue shirt.
The store has previously been robbed in the past.
In October, two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the store and left with cash.
