Shots fired into Labor Department building

Two shots were fired into the Georgia Department of Labor building, 601 Greene St., according to a report from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Manager James Abron told deputies that the shots, which shattered the upstairs window, were fired between 8 a.m. on July 1 and 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officers found bullet holes in the window of the conference room as well as the wall, but were unable to find any spent shell casings in the area, according to the report.
