  • Follow Crime & courts

Someone shot at a 45-year-old Augusta man on 10th Avenue early Friday after refusing to pay back $3 he owed , according to a report by the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

The victim told police an argument over the money escalated and the assailant hit him in the back of the head with a handgun. As he ran toward his home, the gunman shot at him twice.

Police saw a 2 -inch cut on the back of the man's head, but he refused medical attention and refused to talk to an investigator, according to the report. He did say he wants to prosecute.

Only about 10% of people

Only about 10% of people commit about 90% of the crimes. If that 10% were no longer on the street crime will drop dramatically. Let’s hurry and get them off the street while we still have an economy to salvage.

@Crime Reports: But if we get

@Crime Reports: But if we get that 10% off the street permanently, what will all the lawyers do for a living?? (other than get their lawyer buddies in the legislature to invent new crimes to increase business..)

Another "sounds good at first but I didnt really think about it comment." Currenty people have issue with the 18% of people getting entitlements, you want to add 10% more to that to incarcerate them. They have to be housed, watched, and fed, if you take them off the street, unless you are talking about harsher punishement, which is against the constitution. Do you want to pay more for that? I will gladly send you my bill to pay!
