Three Augusta teens were arrested Monday afternoon in connection with at least two Evans burglaries.

Vontece Small, 19, and Ronnicquia Bennett, 17, both of the 2500 block of Weldon Drive, and Darius Whaley, 18, of the 2500 block of Waterfront Drive, were charged with two counts of burglary. Whaley also was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

At about 1 p.m., a Northwood subdivision resident was home when the three kicked in the back door of house on Sparkleberry Road. The teens ran away. Nothing was stolen and no one was injured.

The teens were arrested as they tried to drive out of the neighborhood.

A flat-screen television recovered from the car was confirmed stolen from an earlier burglary of a home on Sir Lancelot Drive.
