Ring Pop demanded at knifepoint, boy says

  • Follow Crime & courts

An 11-year-old boy said he was held at knifepoint Sunday night by a man demanding a Ring Pop candy.

The victim's mother told deputies that her son was outside his building at Woodlake Club Apartments on Amli Way when a man described as in his 20s put a knife to his abdomen and demanded a Ring Pop, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report.

The victim told the man that he didn't have any, and the assailant left the scene.

Wow what is this world coming to? I pray everyday that God will protect Richmond County from all of the violence that is going on. Its a shame when you cannot even let your children go outside and play.

May have been a little horseplay going on, but nonetheless, the man should be arrested and have the book thrown at him.
