Air-conditioning units worth thousands taken

A downtown community center was robbed of an air-conditioning unit valued at $10,000, according to a Richmond County's sheriff's report.

Sometime between 7 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday, the unit was removed from Strong Academy on the premises of Shiloh Community Center at 1635 15th St., the report said.

Someone also stole two air-conditioning units from Greater Love Baptist Church, 1010 Summer St. , according to a Richmond County sheriff's incident report.

Between 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Saturday, the thief cut through a fence to steal the units, whose combined value was $4,000, the report said.

This is so disgusting. The people doing the most to help that part of town are being robbed and abused by the very people they are trying to help.

There are a lot of animals walking around on two legs disguised as human beings.
