Stolen vehicles found in Savannah River

The Augusta Dive Team discovered two vehicles submerged in the Savannah River while conducting dive training near the boat ramp Sunday, according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.

When officers arrived around 10 a.m., they identified one vehicle as a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, which was previously reported as stolen. Officers identified the second vehicle as a 2003 Honda Accord, which was also previously reported as stolen.

The Ram's owner was not able to be contacted. The Honda's owner told police that insurance had already paid the claim on the vehicle.
