Harlem police are looking for a man they say robbed a convenience store Wednesday.

A man with a handgun entered the Jet Food Store at 355 W. Milledgeville Road about 3:45 a.m.

He approached the cashier, who was mopping, forced her to the register and demanded cash, Harlem Department of Public Safety Chief Jesse Bowman said.

Bowman described the thief as a slender black man, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, wearing a black bandana over his face, a black skull cap, gloves, blue jeans and a black T-shirt.

Anyone with information can call the Harlem Department of Public Safety at (706) 556-6262.
