North Augusta authorities are investigating two robberies at fast-food restaurants Thursday, according to incident reports.

At 6:14 a.m., a man entered McDonald's at 1831 Georgia Ave., placed an order and handed the on-duty manager his money.
He then grabbed her wrist and demanded the money, police said. When she told him she couldn't reopen the register, he left and ran up Knox Avenue.

Fifteen minutes later, a man entered Burger King at 101 Austin Graybill Road. He ordered, paid and then reached into the register, police said.

The cashier told officers she shut his hand in the drawer. But when he showed her a handgun tucked in his pants, she let him take the money.
