Woman's autopsy results still pending

Chief Deputy Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said today that he is still awaiting results of an autopsy on a 27-year-old woman whose body was found in her apartment Friday night.

Bowen had said that the death was a homicide, but the exact cause has not been determined. Bowen said today that results from the autopsy, which was conducted in Atlanta, probably would not be available until Tuesday.

Neighbors of Jquanda Johnson of the 800 block of Spruce Street, off James Brown Boulevard, said they last saw her Wednesday. Maintenance workers found her body after gaining entrance to the apartment Friday.

I guess the "repeatedly stabbed" as described by her relatives wasn't good enough.

This story is not newsworthy.

This story is not newsworthy. It would be better to print a story when the autopsy results have come back instead of printing one saying the results have not come back. And when the results come back, the reporter could get a statement from a sheriff's investigator telling us what the investigator is doing with the autopsy results; in short, what relevance do the autopsy results have in regard to the investigation.

I think they should keep the public informed as to what’s going on in the case, she is not forgotten. I’m bet they have more info, which cannot be released to the public. This is a very sad story and I hope they find the person responsible.
