Man finds gunman this morning at ATM

  • Follow Crime & courts

An Augusta man had a gun pulled on him at a south Augusta Bank of America ATM this morning, according to an incident report.

The victim told officers he was in the middle of a transaction at a drive-up ATM at 2820 Peach Orchard Road about 5 a.m. when a man approached his vehicle with a gun demanding his money.

The 31-year-old man immediately fled in his vehicle to a nearby Sprint Store to notify police. When he returned with officers, his ATM card, which he had left in the machine, was gone, police said.

I have always thought this

I have always thought this ATM is in the worst place ever. It is behind a gas station! I never understood why the bank decided to put it there instead of using one of the drive through lanes for the ATM.

South side of Augusta is a

South side of Augusta is a great example of how the entitlement programs are working. Obama should be required to live there for a couple of months. Crime is terrible, the schools are like bad detention centers and the drop rate is high so they can go welfare as quickly as possible.

lifelong, I dont see chascush

lifelong, I dont see chascush saying its O's fault, but he is the one in office NOW who could put a stop to it or reform these programs. Past presidents should have, but no one would listen to them. Most of the left and bleeding hearts are in total denial about the link between these programs and the mentality it creates and condones and he is one they look up to and he, more than anyone, could implement change in this vicious cycle. Even when they turn to into criminals they arent punished appropriately and one of the main excuses used for them is the poor welfare crime ridden environment they grew up in and how they almost had no choice but to go this route. And its the very ones on these programs who turn their neighborhoods into these war zones and trash their own homes. Theres a terrible mentality that goes with these programs that are abused so bad they create this horrible cycle.

These people tend to crack me up. I think they need to check the crimes in their area first. Before they talk about other areas.

Crimes are happening

Crimes are happening everywhere, just more in some places than others. I have witnessed two drug transactions in a little over a year at the TPS/Bojangles on the corner of Washington Road and William Few Parkway. The irony is, this location is a CCSO substation.

Evans is what West Augusta

Evans is what West Augusta was 30 years ago. West Augusta is what South Augusta was 30 years ago. South Augusta is what East Augusta was 30 years ago. East Augusta is still East Augusta.
