Twin sisters were arrested Sunday after four children, ages 2 to 4, were found unattended in an apartment at 2515 Center West Parkway, according to an incident report.

Richmond County sheriff's deputies responding to a report of child abandonment at 6:30 a.m. found the door open, feces on the porch and walls, trash everywhere and two bathtubs filled with water, the report said.

Deputies located Cameshia Towns, mother of two of the children, in another building. Towns told deputies she'd left the children sleeping about 1 a.m.

Kateshia Allen, the mother of the other two children, was arrested when the Chrysler she was riding in stopped at a store on Washington Road.

The women, both 23, are charged with contributing to the deprivation of minors. The children were in protective custody with the Department of Family and Children Services.

Two and four year olds, "bath tubs filled with water"----If that doesn't sound like a "planned event", I have never heard one!

And to the comments about

And to the comments about welfare and center west parkway... the term welfare these days is used to describe gov't support period, not the old program of "welfare cash assistance" Even that has a new name. And center west has done allowed so much section 8 in those apartment complexes over there its turning into a straight up ghetto, as is most places allowing masses of this entitlement crowd into once good neighborhoods.

This happen in Hunters Run.

This happen in Hunters Run. Center west pkwy is a low crime area. Similar to the city limits of Hephzibah and Blythe. Even though it's in a developed area. You never see people standing on the corner in Hunters Run.

Jilian please. How many

Jilian please. How many times have I read the paper and seen the criminal element being held up as pariahs to the community? I will start with the woman who knifed her children a couple of years ago on Lumpkin, and end with the pastors speeches over in Cherry tree. As a good christian, would your church shun these obvious nasty sinners? Or would you welcome them as lost souls who need a break because of societal pressure?

left your 2 children sleeping?!?!?!?! wait officer, my kids well last time i left them...huh?? their ages?? 2 and 4, i left them at home, they were asleep....who's watching them?? officer when i left them they were asleep....they daddy??? uh....ummm...well...what had happen was, i had to go to the store...uh the messy house, feces all around..again officer what had happen was...they was supposed to be sleep, i wasn't going to be gone long...uh..well officer, i didn't mean it, i was on my way back home to check on them.......
ladies and gentleman what you just read was the explaination probably given to the officer when her their sorry trifling behinds were pulled over at the gas station..wait maybe she was on her way to buy some condoms......to show some responsibility for her next "encounter" because they sure were not showing any by leaving their children home alone...maybe theu were getting a "forty" or two before going over to the next persepctive "baby daddy" house to make another one because they needed an increase in their EBT allowance or cash assistance

Dominion - thats what I'm

Dominion - thats what I'm saying. They'll take your pets away all day long for neglect and abuse and when they go to the shelter you don't get them back. But your kids? A slap on the hand and a cold shoulder towards children who need help. It's bred into them. These twins probably didn't know any better because their mother kept the same kind of house and left them at home by themselves as well. If no one will stop the cycle its just going to continue. Such a shame how prevelant it is in our community. Children starving and roaming the streets scared to go home. What will it take for the system to open its eyes? All we can do is tell ourselves that God has a plan for these poor babies and hopefully they will make it out of their childhood to be productive citizens....... Here's to hoping.
