Teens robbed at gunpoint

Two Augusta teens who were hoping to get a deal on an iPod touch were robbed instead.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff''s office report, the  two were at Westberry Creek Apartments around 10:45 p.m. Friday with a third teen who told them that they were to meet an unknown man there to purchase an iPod touch for a cheap price.

Instead, three men in dark clothing and ski masks approached them and demanded money. One bandit displayed a handgun, one of the victims told deputies.

One victim gave the thieves his cell phone and $152. The other also gave them his cell phone.

The suspects then ran from the scene, and so did the person who told them to meet there, according to the report.
