Waffle House waitress charged with battery

A North Augusta couple dining at a Washington Road Waffle House reported being attacked by a restaurant employee early today.
Around 12:17 a.m. the couple observed "their waitress seemed to be making fun of them," according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.
Later, she approached one of the diners and "began to choke him," the report said.
Shaking the man's head from side to side, she caused it to strike the head of his companion, the report said.
The server, Alicia Martin, faces charges of simple battery.
