A 22-year-old Augusta woman was booked into the Richmond County jail Saturday on a charge of felony child molestation.
According to jail records, Essence Michelle Odom of the 1700 block of Bransford Avenue was arrested about 9:30 a.m.
The mother of the girl told police the woman had performed oral sex on her daughter at least once between Feb. 22 and March 4, a sheriff's report says.
Between Beman and Holden streets. Boy, is that a nice little chunk of Harrisburg/Summerville.
No matter the location. A horrible crime against a child was committed.

No, the accused is definitely female. Her mother is currently serving life in prison for killing the nephew of the former Senator Charles Walker. Walker's nephew was an Augusta Richmond County fireman who had a relationship with the young woman's mother that ended violently.
I guess the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.

I now realize that we have some trully outstanding scholars in augusta who are being held back from high positions simply because of their sexual bearing. I truely hope she didn't commit the crime and, if she is innocent, that she will be proven innocent. These charges are no laughing matter even if we are laughing about posts here.
free my brah essence, will probably speak the same way around his/her children. Just like most of the parents I see in this area. There is a reason our schools are failing and unemployment is high in the SE. All the civil rights activists would be turning in their graves if they saw or heard the way people act today. I personally know Essence and i personally know the 14 year old.... There was nothing going on at all. The girl told Essence that her mother was beating on her, and she was scared and she didnt know what to do. How do we judge someone and we all have faults. This is a serious matter and lying can mess up anybody's life. This story is a LIE.The mother of the 14 year old just doesnt like Essence and the 14 year old was never caught at her house she told her mother out her own mouth she was at the park. Im praying for everyone up here for trying to be GOD. If you dont know the situation you shouldnt judge a book by it cover.....
