AIKEN - An Aiken man was sentenced Thursday to 15 years for robbing a man over the Fourth of July weekend.
Damien Curry, 28, of Ridge Crest Road, entered a guilty plea in General Sessions Court, said Aiken County Assistant Solicitor David Miller.
In October, Curry turned himself into authorities after being on the run since July.
During the robbery on July 4, Curry stole the pistol of the victim, held him at gunpoint and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Curry is required to serve 85 percent of the sentence, Miller said.
