Imagine a car salesman being dishonest. Isnt that a resume` requirement?
U.S. District judge has sentenced an Augusta car salesman to 15 months in prison for fraud.
Amos Meyers, 47, pleaded guilty in October to one count of wire fraud conspiracy. Prosecutors presented evidence that Meyers worked with several other individuals to receive several auto loans fraudulently for more than $100,000.
The loans were obtained using stolen identities and went toward the 2005 purchase of a 2003 Jaguar X-type luxury vehicle, the 2006 purchase of a 2003 Hummer H2 sport utility vehicle and the 2006 purchase of a 2002 Mercedes Benz Model S luxury vehicle, according to a news release provided Friday by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Georgia. Meyers was a salesman at Stokes Hodges Auto Mall in Augusta, prosecutors said.
Zenard Zenor Brownlee, 38, of Atlanta, was previously sentenced in August 2008 to 72 months in federal prison for his role in the scheme.

Naaa, it's career depleation!
What about the head management at the time? They always claim they didnt' know. The guys got what they deserved but the real culprits may have got away.
Obama missed his calling he would have great used car salesman.
Don't insult used car salesmen by lumping Obammy in with them. They are the lowest of the low, but they still don't deserve THAT association.
He caught a 15 month prison sentence. I wonder how much more time it will take his victims to completely clear their ruined credit records? This man should have caught a lot more time for the problems and stress that he has put others through.
Didn't Obama confiscate an entire auto manufacturer (or 2) and is now selectively reinstating franchises? There couldn't be any kind of fraud involved with that little transaction, could there?
I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with MS. I'm sure it's Obama's fault. I just can't figure out how he did it.......
Amazing
Amazing how a 'fraud' story prompts Obama comments. Give it a rest...some stories don't relate to politics...Gheez.
Get a life
This is not very surprising to me. Back in 2004, I purchased my car from Stokes and Hodges and he was my salesman. He seemed kind of shady and I ended up working with someone else. Glad I trusted my instinct.
