The Aiken Department of Public Safety is asking the public's help in identifying the suspect in these photos.
This suspect entered the BP Service Station at 3540 Richland Ave. West in Aiken at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday and purchased a pack of cookies, according to a news bulletin.
When the clerk started to hand the suspect his change he took the cash drawer and removed an unknown amount of money and left the store.
The suspect is identified as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5'10'' to 5'11'' weighing 230 pounds. The man did not present a weapon or claim to have one in his possession, police said. He left the store on foot.
Anyone who might know this man is asked to call the Aiken Department of Public Safety at 803 642-7620 and speak with any detective.
Callers may also call Crime stoppers of the midlands at 1-888 CRIME-SC and remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward $50 to $1000.
I think it's amazing that the clerk had to guess at the perp's age and height, but the weight is "230 pounds". Picture is pretty good, so they should be able to get him fairly easily.
Normally at convenience stores and fast food restaurants there are height measures at the entrance doors where one can easily glance and get a good look at the height. The weight was probably more exact because the perpetrator may have had a build like someone the cashier knew to weigh about 230#s.
do you know the meth head? Looks familar to me, and yes he is one.
How many days is this going to be run as breaking news?
