Publix stores raise money for children's hospital

  • Follow Your Business

Area Publix stores raised $16,302 for Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center through the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in-store fundraiser.

The campaign was from May 26 through June 16. The money will help fund equipment and technology upgrades at Augusta’s only children’s hospital, which treats about 70,000 children annually.

This is the 21st year Publix associates and customers have helped through the purchase of $1, $3 and $5 “Miracle Balloons” at the register.

To date, Publix customers have raised more than $23 million for 19 hospitals in the Southeast.
