A picture is worth a thousand words, and sometimes facial expressions are worth a million.
Do you ever wish you could easily communicate what your face is saying when you aren’t having a face-to-face conversation?
React Messenger is an app my friend Kelly suggested to me, because I have been known to just reply to a text message with a photo of my facial expression when words fail me.
In all seriousness, this app is a unique new way to communicate. It’s the basic text back and forth, but with a selfie accompanying each message. Kind of what some people use snapchat for, but with a sleeker design and a history of your conversation. It’s free, of course, and you can find it in the App Store.
A very happy birthday to Stacy Haskins Garner and the girls at one. on their first year as a store!
one. continues to exhibit Stacy’s fantastic taste and brings big-city designers and labels to us at great prices. From Milly to Trina Turk to Shoshanna, you can find something for just about any occasion inside the happy, bright space in Surrey Center.
To sneak a peek at some of what they have, just like them on Facebook or follow them on Instagram – shoponeaugusta. The team does a great job of staying on top of their social media accounts and answering questions.
Looking for a good meal, good wine and a chance to learn something at the same time? Gravatt Camp and Conference Center is holding Wine 101, an evening where wine expert Jolene Norris will take you through a flight of wines accompanying your meal and discuss why each one was chosen.
Tickets are $30 for the April 5 event, and that’s a fantastic price for a meal plus a full flight of wines anywhere. With this, though, you get a lesson in wine pairings to boot. Go to www.bishopgravatt.org for more information.
