No doubt you’ve heard about the outlet mall coming to Augusta, in the retail space near Costco and Cabela’s. Exciting, right?
Of course, we know better than to really get excited until ground is broken and leases are signed, but it could be the best thing that’s happened to Augusta shopping in a really long time. You can find details at www.premieroutletsofgaataugusta.com, and of course The Augusta Chronicle’s own team will keep you updated on every step of the process.
We’re all trying to eat a bit better and fresher nowadays, aren’t we? But for me at least, when I come home after a long day’s work, the last thing I feel like doing is a) deciding what to cook or b) scrounging up the supplies to cook it.
Here’s a solution that I’m trying, an online meal service called Blue Apron that delivers fresh ingredients and great recipes every week for only $9.99 per person per meal. This probably isn’t a great solution for families or people who have time to be pro grocery shoppers, but for the rest of us it’s a genius idea. You can see the week’s menu posted every Sunday and decide which meals you want to have sent to you (there’s a vegetarian menu and meat and fish options).
The produce and meat is fresher than your local supermarket, and the portions are plenty generous. Go to www.blueapron.com for all the information.
