Fab’rik has opened in Surrey Center and it has been running some deals, such as denim was buy one, get one free this past week, and it had a 30 percent off sale in honor of Mother’s Day.
Be sure to like Fab’rik on Facebook – I’ve noticed the store announces deals just for Facebook fans, or extensions to sales and deals.
The same goes for all of our local retailers. If you shop there, like them on Facebook. Retailers have gotten wise to the fact that we wile away the hours scrolling through Facebook, and they will put deals there that you wouldn’t know about otherwise.
Amazon recently announced its music service Cloud Player will be integrated into the Ford Sync AppLink-enabled vehicles for iOS users, not just Android.
Cloud Player is Amazon’s streaming service, with rates starting at $20 per year for 20 GB of storage. With this service in the Sync AppLink cars, users will be able to stream music they’ve bought on their computer or their phone in the car – using voice recognition or dashboard control. Android users have been using this service in the Sync AppLink vehicles since February. The 2013 Ford Fiesta, Mustang, Focus, E-Series, C-Max Hybrid, Expedition, Fusion, F-150 and Super Duty have the option for Sync AppLink-ability.
Do you know your way around a camera? The Salvation Army Kroc Center of Augusta is inviting local photography enthusiasts to take their best shots of the Augusta Canal for a new contest, “Capturing the Canal.” Entries must be submitted by May 31 along with a registration form you can find at www.krocaugusta.org.
The photo must be black and white, and judges will be looking for something that captures the beauty and essence of the Augusta Canal.
Prizes will be awarded to the top six photos, and winning photographs will be on display at the Kroc Center in July. The photos will be printed onto note cards and post cards and sold in the café and at the front desk.
