Store shows admiration for teachers with offers

Office Depot is holding Star Teacher Appreciation Week through Saturday. Teachers can enjoy breakfast and giveaways from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Teachers can get 20 percent off during the week on regularly priced, qualified in-store purchases with their Star Teacher Member Card. The maximum discount allowed is $20. Giveaways are available while supplies last.

The offer is not valid for purchases of gift cards; any consumer electronics and technology products, accessories, media and software; HP and Epson ink and toner; Tech Depot Services or third party services; all Copy & Print Depot services and all paper.

Participating stores include 3675 Walton Way Ext. in Augusta and 1117 Knox Ave. in North Augusta.

FREE HAIRCUTS: Children in kindergarten through sixth grade can get free haircuts throughout August at JC Penney Salon.

The free cuts will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can call (855) JCP-KIDS or stop by JC Penney Salon.

FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Colortyme is having a drawing for free school supplies.

The winner will receive a backpack and school supplies for an elementary school pupil. The drawing will be held Wednesday. Entries will be taken until 5 p.m. Wednesday. To sign up, visit Colortyme at 2115 Windsor Spring Road, Augusta.

DEALS ON SCHOOL SUPPLIES:

STAPLES: Shoppers will receive $2 off a new binder for each old one they bring in to recycle. The instant discount can be used for any binder sold at Staples.

Staples customers can save 15 percent with the Staples Back-to-School Savings Pass. The pass can be purchased for $10 while supplies last. It is valid until Sept. 15 for use once a day on supplies, including pens, pencils, paper, notebooks and backpacks. The pass does not apply to technology such as computers and calculators.
