FOR THE BURN FOUNDATION

The Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation Inc. has joined forces with Jersey Mike’s Subs in Grovetown for the second annual March Month of Giving fundraising campaign.

On Wednesday, the campaign will culminate in Jersey Mike’s “Make A Difference Day,” a special nationwide celebration that will take benefit 74 charities.

Local residents are invited to Jersey Mike’s, 4010 Gateway Blvd. in Grovetown, to enjoy a sub meal. The restaurant will donate 50 percent of the day’s sales to the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, which reports that the most critical service it provides is free lodging for patients’ family members.

The foundation has beds for up to 45 guests in a home-style environment. After the patient is discharged, the foundation can assist with needs such as anti-scarring garments, medications and transportation to and from medical care.
