Google’s Chrome browser has been very well-received and as of Tuesday is now available on Android-powered mobile devices.
This has been an engineering effort for more than one year within Google and marks the convergence of two of the company’s fastest growing products.
Both Android and Chrome, launched in the third quarter of 2008, have experienced remarkable growth.
Android is the world’s most popular mobile operating system, and Chrome is on track to become the world’s most popular browser later this year.
The situation isn’t perfect; Chrome for Android is available only for Android 4.0, does not support any kind of Flash Player and does not support any Chrome extensions that you might have on your desktop version.
I was so impressed by The Savvy Shopper interior consignment shop on Washington Road when I dropped by the other day.
Located right across from La Pavilion shopping center and at the corner of Pleasant Home and Washington roads, it is an extensive space that consignors have filled with a mixture of art and antiques.
The rehabbed furniture inside was right on trend. There were the requisite Masters memorabilia but also a range of unusual pieces that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The booths weren’t crowded, either, so you really get a chance to take everything in without getting overwhelmed.

Valentine’s Day is Tuesday, and there are still escape plans if the holiday has completely slipped your mind.
Getting a dinner reservation this late in the game could be an unlikely option, but go ahead and call around to make sure. People back out of reservations, and most restaurants would have asked for cancellations to be cleared before this weekend at least. French Market Grille’s menu for Monday and Tuesday includes bacon wrapped sea scallops, lobster pasta and cherries jubilee – if a reservation happened to be canceled, you might get a chance to enjoy that spread.
When in doubt, go simple. It’s the details that matter, like taking flowers out of their plastic wrapping before giving them or taking the time to write a thoughtful note to go with your gift.
