Lessons at the region’s first indoor swim school start May 31.

Located next to Academy Sports in Evans, Dolphin Academy Swim School features a 75-by-35-foot heated pool and climate-controlled viewing area for parents and guests.

In January, owners and swim instructors Amy Ristroph and Lee Fuller began transforming the 7,000-square-foot space into a swim school that will hold classes for all age groups and skill levels. The school also offers triathlon training, technique clinics private lessons and a swim club.

The Dolphin Academy grew from lessons that Ristroph taught to young swimmers at the Aquatic Center. In 2009, Fuller came on as an instructor and manager, and they incorporated the school in 2011.
