Savannah River Nuclear Solutions President and CEO Dwayne Wilson has accepted a position with Fluor Corp.

Wilson announced the change Tuesday in an address to SRNS employees, according to a news release. He is leaving for another position with Fluor Corp., one of the three companies making up SRNS.

SRNS manages solid-waste cleanup efforts at Savannah River Site.

Wilson will remain at SRNS until mid-to-late June, when a successor has been named.

During his three-year tenure at SRNS, Wilson oversaw renewal of H-Canyon operations and continued support of the Savannah River Tritium Enterprise and completion of Cold War-era cleanup funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

He also focused on expanding the Savannah River National Laboratory.

In 2013, Wilson was recognized by the National Safety Council for a safety award called “CEOs Who Get It,” based on his strong commitment to safety at the U.S. Department of Energy site.

jumping the creaky Enterprise SRS ship

Another blow to the facade called Enterprise SRS, a floundering approach which hasn't attracted significant new work to SRS.

SC Eagle Eye, no, you don't

SC Eagle Eye, no, you don't get it.

He is taking another position within one of the companies that make up SRNS; that means that he isn't deserting anything, but making a career move as he moves up the ladder at Fluor.

This is very common with upwardly mobile executives in any large corporation, it's too bad that you don't understand that.
