Catch 231, located at 231 The Alley, will serve local produce as well as fresh seafood shipped from Beaufort, S.C.

“Most of the produce used at Catch 231 will come from within 20 miles of the restaurant, and the seafood will be brought in each week from Beaufort,” executive chef Keith Herron said.

The restaurant is the joint venture of Dr. Philip Jordan, Jeffery Jordan and Janice Rodriguez, who also own and manage Up Your Alley Chophouse. After opening their steakhouse in the Alley last fall, the trio heard from diners about the need for a seafood establishment in Aiken.

Fresh seafood?!

How is it fresh if it is only delivered weekly? I think I will pass on the "fresh seafood"!

seafood restaurant in aiken

I think aiken needs a seafood restaurant that is affordable ,if it is anything like the eatery that it is replacing the food will be overpriced, it seems like the people that open these places think the public will pay very high prices just to eat in" the alley " most people ,especially a man with a family , can't afford to eat there, aiken needs another place like "dukes" out on whiskey rd , they serve very good food and are not overpriced or fancy , ask anybody if they would rather eat at a fancy place or a place that serves good reasonably priced food, fancy will lose out

Duke's is great if you're in the mood to gorge yourself but some people just want a good meal at decent prices. I haven't seen the menu of the new place yet so I'll not comment about it yet.
