A Goodwill Industries job fair planned for Oct. 17 will target metro Augusta’s diverse workforce.

Goodwill’s Job Connection is holding a free diversity career fair from 1-4 p.m. at the Snelling Center, which is on the Goodwill campus at the corner of Washington and Furys Ferry roads.

More than 30 employers and community resource providers will have information about current job openings in the Augusta area. Organizations already confirmed include Owens Corning, SITEL, Nutrasweet, Home Depot, University Hospital, Georgia Regents University, Augusta National Golf Club, FedEx and other local municipalities, retail and industrial companies.

Job seekers are encouraged to attend a career fair boot camp on Oct. 16 taught by human resources professionals from businesses represented at the job fair. Sessions will be offered in English from 1-2 p.m. and in Spanish from 3-4 p.m. at the Goodwill Job Connection, adjacent to the Snelling Center.
