  • Follow Local Business

The accreditation agency evaluating Savannah River Site’s law enforcement program next month will offer employees and community members an opportunity to share comments, too.

The U.S. Department of Energy site’s law enforcement and paramilitary security is managed by WSI, a subsidiary of G4S Government Solutions Inc., and employs 677 workers.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. is scheduled to perform an assessment of the program Aug. 18-20, which includes reviews of department procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

Members of the community and site employees can contact the assessment team at (803) 952-7621 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 19.

Comments also can be mailed to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., 3575 Heathcote Blvd., Suite 320, Gainesville, VA 20155.

The certification is for three years.
