Augusta Mall has a new general manager.
Minnesota native Andrew Wilke has taken over as the mall’s new manager after serving as assistant general manager at an Iowa mall, Jordan Creek Town Center. Wilke previously spent nine months as the acting general manager at the Mall of the Bluffs in Iowa. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University, where he studied public administration and urban planning, said Melissa Wolf, Augusta Mall’s regional marketing manager.
Wilke replaces Linda Hardin, who left her position in 2012. An interim manager performed the job until Wilke was hired.
The mall is nearly full, with a 90 percent occupancy level, as last reported in mid-May when Swedish fashion retailer H&M announced adding a 23,000-square-foot, two-level store in the mall near Barnes & Noble and American Eagle Outfitters.
