Visitor spending in Augusta is projected to generate more than $1.9 million during May.

The conference will be held at the Augusta Convention Center on Reynolds Street.

Direct visitor spending is based on the number of occupied overnight hotel rooms by guests in town for meetings, reunions and other events.

Odd

Kind of odd that the Baptist ushers will be outspending all other groups.

Here's a suggestion to The Augusta Chronicle from someone who cares: just because the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau gives you these press releases every month does not mean you have to publish them. It's getting a bit tiresome.
