The Georgia Department of Labor and Fort Gordon’s Army Career and Alumni Program Center will hold the veterans’ job expo from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Army Reserve Center, at Lane Avenue and 15th Street, inside Building 14401 on the post.

The fair is to help active-duty military personnel, retirees, National Guard and reserve units, and family members find jobs. The first hour is open only to people assigned to the Warrior Transition Battalion.

More than 30 employers, including Bridgestone, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, CSX Railroad and IBM will attend. Some employers will be hiring, and others will discuss future job opportunities.

Job-seekers are asked to bring résumés, wear professional attire and be prepared for interviews.
