Augusta visitors are expected to spend at least $1.5 million in April.

The amount does not include spending by visitors in town for the Masters Tournament.

The 2013 Bethel AME Church district conference from April 15-20 is expected to draw 750 visitors to the area and bring in the most revenue at about $404,000.

These DG tourneys are great.

These DG tourneys are great. If you've never been, I would recommend one of these. They have them at Wildwood Park, North Augusta Riverview, Lake Olmstead, Pendleton King, Patriot's Park.

Good question, jamc1103. If

Good question, jamc1103. If you do the math based on the numbers they provided, it comes out to anywhere from $60-something a day to a hair under $110 a day in spending depending on which group it is. The Bethel AME being the lowest amount per person and the WOW being the highest.

Worth noting that none of the events mentioned are being held at the new TEE/Augusta Conference Center...

Who cares? They are coming

Who cares? They are coming here and they will spend money and it's not kickstarted by a tax-appropriation. My gut tells me the figures are lower estimates. People coming to Augusta during Master's week, even if not attending the tournament, will shell out a good bit per day.
